A poem I wrote named “Jihad”.

The definition of jihad in Arabic is “struggle”.

I struggle.

You struggle.

He struggles.

She struggles.

We all struggle.

Struggles exist in various forms.

To wake up early in the morning is jihad.

To work and pursue studies at the same time is jihad.

To change your habits is jihad.

To be a good parent is jihad.

To follow your dreams is jihad.

To believe in yourself is jihad.

To question yourself is jihad.

To forgive those that wrong you is jihad.

Struggles, struggles, struggles.

May jihad involve violence?

Yes, but only in self-defense, also a struggle.

Muhammad was asked, “What is the best type of jihad?”

His response was “Speaking truth before a tyrannical ruler”.
