Barriers

My poem “Barriers”

The barriers created,

Yet we are the same,

You sustain differences,

All in your name.

Despite all the evidence,

Openness to you,

You remain stone-hearted,

Yet believe in the truth.

The truth of oppression,

The truth amidst lies,

Despite what you know,

You sustain the divide.

You insist on apartheid,

You insist on genocide,

Are they not human,

Or their existence a crime?

All your insistence is in your name,

Not in humanity,

You took God’s name in vain.
